Mystery Train (LP Version) Lyrics

Train arrive, it's sixteen coaches long
Train arrive, it's sixteen coaches long
Well, that long black train take my baby and goneMystery train, rollin' down the track
Mystery train, rollin' down the track
Well, it took my baby, people it won't be coming backTrain, train, rollin' 'round the bend
Train, train, rollin' 'round the bend
Well, it took my baby, people it won't be back againTrain arrive, it's sixteen coaches long
Train arrive, it's sixteen coaches long
Well, that long black train take my baby and gone

The Paul Butterfield Blues Band was signed to Elektra Records after adding Michael Bloomfield as lead guitarist. Their original debut album was scrapped, then re-recorded after the addition of organist Mark Naftalin. Finally, their self-titled debut, The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, was released in 1965. It had an immediate impact, serving as a wakeup call for a generation of musicians. {...the above is a pathetic and perfunctory facsimile of the biographical tribute this illustrious band deserves.
