Catina Copeland Rosemond has a unique gift that creates a worshipful atmosphere in which people immediately feel the presence of God. Her performance and ministry is nothing less than professional and her ministry exhilarates and captivates a heart full of passion as she renders true praise and worship to those who would listen. Every time she opens her mouth there is a connection with the person’s spirit causing them to feel the melodic words resonating deep inside them. Catina invites the depressed, down trodden and hopeless person to feel the love of God as she moves them from a spectator to a participator in worship. Catina, a native of York, PA followed a normal “preacher’s kid” childhood lifestyle. Her parents, Bishop Dr. Richard A. Copeland and Evangelist Ruthel Copeland are pastors in the Church Of God In Christ(COGIC). At age 4, she sang her first solo and at age 9 she organized her first choir. She was trained in the National COGIC choir by Dr. Matti Moss Clark and Twinkie Clark of the Clark Sisters.

In 1989, Catina’s musical career catapulted when she was signed with Star Fame Productions(SFP) in Atlanta, GA. While with SFP, she had the #1 musical video for six consecutive weeks and sang the “Star Spangle Banner” for the Junior Olympics. In the summer of 1991, Catina was in a tragic car accident that left her physically disfigured and nearly blind. It was an attempt for the enemy to destroy here purpose in life. Though countless medical doctors said she would be a “vegetable”, God had another diagnosis and stepped in and worked a miracle! Look out for her detailed testimony, narrated by Chiccy Baritone, in her forthcoming song and video entitled “Nothing Missing, Nothing Broken”. She furthered her musical development while attending South Carolina State University majoring in Music Performance and Dramatic Arts. Later she appeared in off Broadway performances such as “God Spell”, “The Wiz”, “Fiddler on the Roof” and “100 Years of Broadway”.

In 2006, she was one of three finalists for the Spirit Fest Legend Gospel Contest sponsored by E Ray Productions where she opened up for John P. Kee at the Bi-Lo Center. She has been blessed and favored to be connected to powerful personalities in today’s music industry. She has also shared the stage with gospels legends such as: Shirley Caesar, Martha Munizzi, Dietrick Haddon, Kim Burrell and Ricardo Sanchez, David and Nicole Binyon. She has recorded with other musical artists such as Carl Gray and the Christ Sent Fellowship Choir, Stephen and Lori Ward and the Redemption World Outreach Center(RWOC) Worship Team. Catina was selected to train and conduct a 150 voice multi-cultural choir for Michael W. Smith’s 2009 World Tour, which performed before a sellout crowd of 15,000 at the Bi-Lo Center. Michael W. Smith was quoted that this was the best sounding choir in all of his 15 years of his World Tours.

Catina ministered in song before many great ministers of the Gospel such as Bishop T.D. Jakes, Miles Monroe, Bishop Eddie Long, Bishop Kenneth Ulmer and Bishop Elijah Mboho. She ministered several times on the Trinity Broadcasting Network(TBN) with Stephen and Lori Ward. She has traveled all over the United States and abroad ministering in song. She, along with her husband, spent several months in Nigeria, Africa teaching workshops, conducting concerts and instituting an accredited gospel music course for the University of Uyo. Her international ministry was appreciated by the Queen of Uyo and the Youth of Good News Community Gospel Village in Nigeria, Africa. Today, she serves as Choir Director for RWOC in Greenville, S.C., a 16,000 member church where her pastors are Apostles Ron and Hope Carpenter.
