Never Good Enough Lyrics

The words you say are so mean
The way they cut-cut
And the way they hurt me
As if I am never good enough for you, for youSomething in the way
The way you walk and the way you talk
Well I'm sorry that you, you feel sorry for me
And I'm sorry to say itWhy can't you be there?
Why can't you even care?
Why can't life be fair?
Why am I never good enough? You set me up to fall down
To hit the ground running
While all the time coming
Was the biggest fall of all
Well I lost control seemed to have lost my soulYou tried to away my fantasy
Rock and roll was the only goal
The thing that meant the most to me
Can't you see that's all I'll ever be?Why can't you be there?
Why can't you even care?

Why can't life be fair?
Why am I never good enough?Enough, enough
I'm never good enough
I'm never good enough
I'm never good, why?The words you say are just so mean
Choking my self esteem
I guess I will never be good enough for youWhy can't you be there?
Why can't you even care?
Why can't life be fair? Why can't you be there?
Why can't you even care?
Why can't life be fair?
I never good enough

The release of a second album, Crane Point Lodge, followed before the year was up. After adding drummer Derek Brown and trumpeter/keyboardist Stewart Cole to their touring lineup, the Good Listeners spent much of the following two years on the road...
