Never Never Land Lyrics

You know my momma said
There's only two things in life that are constant
That's change and change
It feels like something's missing but I just don't know
It's like I'm not the same man that I was, no more
And all these crazy places that I usually know
Are just not as exciting as they were before
I think about you constantly, it surprises me how I've changed
My friends are coming down on me
Saying a playa never changes the game
Those fellows live in Never Never Land
Right next to Peter Pan 'cause nobody wants to grow old
Those fellows live in Never Never Land
They'll never understand what it's like to be in love
Never Never Land
Right next to Peter Pan 'cause nobody wants to grow old
Those fellows live in Never Never Land
They'll never understand what it's like to be in love

It feels like something's moving inside of me
My heart is doing back flips inspite of me
And there's no place that I would rather be
Than with you and my kids, my family
I think about you constantly, you gonna be my wife eventually
It don't matter what my friends say to me
There's no changing my mind, so y'all just pray for me
Never Never Land
Right next to Peter Pan 'cause nobody wants to grow old
Those fellows live in Never Never Land
They'll never understand what it's like to be in love
Never Never Land
Right next to Peter Pan 'cause nobody wants to grow old
Those fellows live in Never Never Land
They'll never understand what it's like to be in love
Hold up wait a minute, how my heart slipped
Don't be putting my woman in it
She ain't got nothing to do with this ***
She is a deak and she chills in the pool pit
Ah, you're wrong dawg
I don't even need to say no more
You ain't got the disease but you expect the cure
Down on your knees praying for that new Porsche
While she's walking out the door
She's walking out the door
Those fellows live in Never Never Land
Right next to Peter Pan 'cause nobody wants to grow old
Those fellows live in Never Never Land
They'll never understand what it's like to be in love
Never Never Land
Right next to Peter Pan 'cause nobody wants to grow old
Those fellows live in Never Never Land
They'll never understand what it's like to be in love
And I don't care what they told you
30 is not the new 20, it's the same old 30
Don't be mad at me Jay, I'm just the messenger baby
I'm just the messenger

Lyfe Jennings (born Chester Jennings in Toledo, Ohio) is an African American R&B and soul singer-songwriter, record producer, and instrumentalist. He plays the guitar, bass, and piano which he integrates into his music.

Jennings began singing at a young age in a Toledo church choir. He later joined a group called The Dotsons with two of his cousins and his older brother, Jay. The group separated in the early 1990s, and Jennings rediscovered music and started a music program at an Ohio prison where he was serving a ten-year sentence on an arson-related charge. He has cited Erykah Badu's 1997 album Baduizm as one of the reasons for his rediscovery. Jennings was released from prison in December 2002 and started to pursue a solo career in music. In January 2003, he performed in Harlem at the Showtime at The Apollo. The same year, he also independently released his first EP, What Is Love. To further pursue his career, Jennings moved to New York City where he performed at rapper Nelly's concert at Radio City Music Hall, at an NAACP convention where he performed an original song called "Thank God for the NAACP", and at the Cafeteria in Chelsea, Manhattan during the blackout on August 14. He signed with Columbia Records and released his debut album Lyfe 268-192 (268-192 was his inmate number) in August 2004. His first single was Stick Up Kid, which didn't see much sucess until after the album was released. The album featured his hit single "Must Be Nice". Jennings' second album The Phoenix was released in August 2006. The first single, "S.E.X.", feautures Jennings' protégé, singer LaLa Brown.
