Next Life Lyrics

The sun is set, the rain has passed
Who knew tomorrow wouldn't last
I wear the cross that bares your name
To wash away all the pain
Beneath the scars I'm torn apart
Alone to mend this broken heart, yeah
In the next life
We can be together
This time forever
In the next life
There'll be no more goodbyes
'Cause you left me helpless on the other side
I'll find you there in the next life
Can't rest in peace when I'm too cold
Beyond a world of dreams untold
There's a place where we can be together

To live and love only blue skies
You're a star that still shines bright
My guiding light to carry me home, yeah yeah
In the next life
Oh we can be together
This time forever
In the next life
There'll be no more goodbyes
'Cause you left me helpless on the other side
I'll find you there in the next life
This time I'm going to make things right
I'm going to make it up to you
I'm going to learn from my mistakes
And inside I'm so lost without you
As I draw my last breath
As I close my eyes
I know the next thing I'll see is you
In the next life
Now we're together
This time forever
In the next life
Now there's no more goodbyes
'Cause you said when you left me on the other side
You'll find me there in the next life
Oh, in the next life (I'll find you there)
In the next life
I'll find you there
In the next life
