Nickel Nickel Millionaire Lyrics

Witness one milk and honey
Cash-wonder splash
Laughing when you say it's under wraps
Pliant or defiant
Don't you want to buy it?Promise wine from brackish water
Hell of a pitch
Wonder if it's really understood
Feed me enough poison
I'll learn to enjoy itWhat's the new diversion,
Sweetening the poisonEnding up
Casting shadows on the tallest most of all
And dreams go sprawling.Witness one milk and honey
Cash-wonder splash
Wonder if I'll ever see the last.
Anchor under pressure
Rancor letting fresh air in.What's the new diversion,
Sweetening the poison

Jawbox was a post-hardcore band which formed in 1989 in Washington D.C., United States. The band consisted of J Robbins (vocals, guitar), Bill Barbot (guitar), Kim Coletta (bass) and Adam Wade (drums). The band split in 1997. In their eight-year existence, Jawbox released four studio albums of increasingly skillful post-punk, not necessarily carrying the torch of their Washington DC, elders (Minor Threat, Embrace, Rites of Spring), but instead building on the tradition of Chicago's thriving early-'80s scene (Big Black, Naked Raygun, Effigies).
