Nightmares Lyrics

(Dickie Peterson)
OH!I have known her and chew me to the bone
A thousand faces and still she stands alone
But I can't change her
Oh cause she likes it that way
She got one foot on my heart
And she got one in my brain. She's a nightmare
Yeah, she's a nightmare
Oh no, she's a nightmare
Hey, she's a nightmare.Inside her, Lord late at night
A-rolling through the backstreets
Of your life
Well you never see her in the light of day
Cause she's a wide, wide range of breeding strange. She's a nightmare
She's a nightmare
Oh what a nightmare
Oh no, she's a nightmare.Late at night, when you lay sleeping
Your nightmare comes creeping around.I have known her from the depth of fear

I have had her lower lightning here
But I wouldn't change her
Because I like her that way
Cause she's a wide, wide range of breeding strange. She's a nightmare
She's a nightmare
Oh what a nightmare
She's a nightmare
Oh she's a nightmare
Oh what a nightmare
I know she's a nightmare
I know, I know she's a nightmare, OH!She's a nightmare
Oh she's a nightmare
I know, an obscene nightmare
Yeah, she's a nightmare
OOOOOOHHHHHHH!

Blue Cheer is an American blues rock group of the late 1960s and early 1970s, who helped to pioneer heavy metal music. Based in San Francisco, original personnel were singer/bassist Dickie Peterson, guitarist Leigh Stephens, and drummer Paul Whaley. A power trio, the band was named after a variety of LSD promoted by underground chemist and Grateful Dead backer Owsley Stanley. This variety of LSD took its name from a popular laundry detergent. Their first hit was a cover version of Eddie Cochran's "Summertime Blues" from their debut album Vincebus Eruptum (1968).
