Nobody Knows Lyrics

Camera flash and the lights go out
I forgot what I was playing about
People come and people go
Where they go nobody knows
Nobody knows
Nobody knows
Nobody knows
Everybody's talking about the latest buzz
I wasn't listening to what it was
Pay attention, the tension grows
Where it grows, nobody knows
Nobody knows
Nobody knows
Nobody knows
Nobody knows
Nobody knows
Nobody shows you if they love you
They try so hard to be above you

Everybody's looking at the pretty boy
The one who's making all the noise
He don't read much as it shows
Ladies don't love him for what he knows
For what he knows
For what he knows
For what he knows
For what he knows
He never shows you if he loves you
He only tries so hard to be above you
It's getting late so I turn in
Nothing happened yet again
I'm just waiting on love to show
Where it is nobody knows
I'm just waiting for love to show
Where it is, nobody knows
Nobody knows
Nobody knows
Nobody knows
Nobody knows
Nobody knows
Nobody shows you if they love you
They only try so hard to be above you
La, la, la, la, la, la

The Pierces, sisters Allison and Catherine, are a pair of singer-songwriters based in New York City (by way of Birmingham, Alabama and Nashville).

Former ballerinas turned songstresses, they released their self-titled debut in 2000 with Epic. The album was met with lukewarm reception, but the girls were undeterred. After moving to New York, they released Light Of The Moon with Universal in 2005, with similar luck. After leaving the label and their manager to make some serious changes, they recorded their third album with producer Roger Greenawalt and after having opened a week's worth of shows for Albert Hammond Jr. [Catherine Pierce's fiancee] in November 2006, the girls were greeted with much more enthusiastic reception and excellent press.

Thirteen Tales of Love and Revenge was released in April 2007.

The Pierces recently gained even more press when they were featured on the December 5th episode of the hit TV show, "Gossip Girl".

However, despite Catherine's high-profile celebrity romance with the Strokes guitarist, Albert Hammond Jr., the increased publicity didn't translate into sales.

According to the You'll Be Mine Songfacts, the siblings were on the verge of calling it a day when a friend of theirs, Coldplay bassist Guy Berryman, offered to produce them. The result was The Pierces fourth album, You & I, their first release after signing to Polydor.
