Nothin' Shakin' (But the Leaves On the Trees) Lyrics

I'm finding out what love is all about
Every day at three when school lets out
I'll see my baby I get weak in the kneesThere's nothin' shakin' but the leaves on the trees
Why must she be such a doggone tease
There's nothin' shakin' but the leaves on the treesWe meet the gang and go to Rockin' Joe's
The cats are stomping on their heels and toes
I grab my baby try to give her a squeezeThere's nothin' shakin' but the leaves on the trees
My daddy told me there'd be times like these
There's nothin' shakin' but the leaves on the treesShe's got a way that makes me act like a fool
Spends my money then she treats me cruel
I'm beggin' for her kisses on bended knees
Give me some lovin' baby, please, please, pleaseI keep trying hard to make her mine
Some day the wind will blow the sun will shine
Until the time she puts my heart at easeThere's nothin' shakin' but the leaves on the trees
She lock my heart and throw away the key
There's nothin' shakin' but the leaves on the treesShe's got a way that makes me act like a fool
Spends my money then she treats me cruel
I'm beggin' for her kisses on bended knees

Give me some lovin' please, please, please

Dr. Feelgood are a British pub rock band, formed in 1971. The classic line-up included Lee Brilleaux (b. 1953, d. 7 April 1994; vocals/harmonica), Wilko Johnson (b. John Wilkinson, 1947; guitar), John B. Sparks (b. 1953; bass) and John 'The Big Figure' Martin (drums). Initially based in Canvey Island, Essex, on the Thames estuary, Dr. Feelgood broke into the London circuit in 1974. Brilleaux's menacing personality complemented Johnson's propulsive, jerky stage manner, while the guitarist's staccato style dominated the group's idiosyncratic brand of angular rhythm and blues.
