Nowhere to Go Lyrics

Lookin' for beauty I'm uncertain
Finding the strength inside the gray
Maybe I'm headin' for a breakdown
Or maybe that's okay
Could be I'm hangin' on for dear life
Maybe I need to get a grip
'Cause you're the only one
Makes me feel like this so
Save me, I'm fallin' again
Keep me from breakin' in a million pieces
In the end no matter what I do
There's nowhere, nowhere to go
Nowhere to go but you, yeah, yeah
Try to mean nothing out of something
Promised myself I wouldn't care
Baby, you're makin' me a liar
'Cause I'm standin' here
You find a crack in my resistance

You find a way to wear me down
Yeah, I just look at you
And there's no way out
So, save me, I'm fallin' again
Keep me from breakin' in a million pieces
In the end no matter what I do
There's nowhere, nowhere to go
Nowhere to go but you
Every single road I take it's you
Asleep or wide awake, it's you
And it's too late
For maybe you want to save me
I'm fallin' again
Keep me from breakin' in a million pieces
In the end no matter what I do
There's nowhere, nowhere to go
Nowhere to go but
Save me, I'm fallin' again
Keep me from breakin' in a million pieces
In the end no matter what I do
There's nowhere, nowhere to go
Nowhere to go but you

Monkeyshine was a duo consisting of 2 ex-high-school friends, Tim Foley and Cate Doefer, who live and work on opposite sides of Michigan, but would occasionally get together to make music. Around 2004, at Tim's suggestion, they started writing and recording original music, releasing the self-titled Monkeyshine in 2005. In late 2006, they made it most of the way through recording their planned follow-up, "Naked on a Goat."
