O Maybe I Lyrics

Oh maybe I
Should settle down to the quiet life
Or maybe I
Should chance it all on a perfect nightCan't you see that sounds cynical?
These desicions, they're made with the hate
I just can't go through it again
Nobody asked you to darling
I just can't pretend that I care
Who ever thought that you did?Oh maybe I should settle down and be dignified
Or maybe I should risk it all on a wrong goodbye
What do you mean I sound cynical?
Can't you see this is more than a grudge
Oh I just can't go through it again
She said nobody asked you to darling
I just can't pretend that I care
Who ever thought that you did?
I just can't go through it again
She said nobody asked you to darling

I just can't pretend that I care
Who ever thought that you did?
I just can't go through it again
Nobody asked you to darling
I just can't pretend that I care
Who ever thought that you did?
Who ever thought you did?Maybe I should take a bit while the fruit's still ripe
Or maybe I should fuck around with someone's wife
Is it strange I sound bitter
When I can feel my heart is falling apart?
I can feel my heart is falling apart

Chapel Club were a London, UK post-punk / shoegaze quintet: Lewis Bowman (vocals), Michael Hibbert (guitar & keyboards), Alex Parry (guitar), Liam Arklie (bass guitar) & Rich Mitchell (drums). Formed in the church of St Luke Old Street's shadow (summer 2006), where - twice or thrice weekly - after nearby rehearsals, the five gathered to drink & discuss the band's name. “Like everything else with us,” says Michael, “the name was unplanned and ill-defined in the beginning. We didn’t start out with one and we’d go ages without bringing it up.
