One Up On You - The Favours

The Favours are an indie/punk outfit from Hull, England, fronted by Sara Sanchez on guitar, and with Martin King on bass, Dave "You Know It Baby" Nivelles on drums and Paulo Burtoni on guitar. They've been compared to Metric, The Cardigans and fellow Hull band The Paddingtons, and are currently signed to Stonetrax Records. They formed in Hull in November 2002 with Sara, Martin, Paul and Carl. Gigging throughout 2003 and 2004 earnt themselves a reputation as a solid, contemporary London-style rock group, with many gigs in Whitechapel's Rhythm Factory and the associated scene.
