Other Arms Lyrics

Lay down your arms, oh
Now baby, let me sleep at night
Lay down your arms baby, oh
I'll make everything all rightWords you been using hurtin' me so
Some day you're gonna regret
Way friends are talkin', guess you'll never know
This battle ain't been won yetLay down your arms baby, oh, oh
When the deal is done
Lay down your arms, child
Used to be your only oneWeapon you're using is hurtin' me bad
What do you hope to achieve?
I said your fighting is leaving me sad
That's not the way it should beSo if I find a love, oh, if I find a way
Oh, if I find a dream, oh, if I find a way
You know that I will
Yes, you knowLay down your arms, oh
Please release me, let me go
Lay down your arms, baby

Now surrender to me, don't you goIf I find a love, oh oh, if I find a way, oh, oh
If I find a dream, oh, oh, if I find a way
You know that I, you know that I
You know I will, but you know, ohShe's gone, she's gone
(I'm not a prisoner of the big parade)
She's gone, gone, gone
(I'm not a prisoner of the big parade)She's gone, she's gone, gone
(I'm not a prisoner of the big parade)
She's gone, she's gone
(No, I'm not, no I'm not)Oh, oh, my baby's gone
(Lay down your arms)
I don't know where I'm gonna find her
'Cause my baby's gone
(Lay down your arms)Is she over here? Is she over there? Is she over here?
Yes I know, oh, I gotta find her
Oh, is she here? Is she there?
I really [Incomprehensible], I wanna find her(Lay down your arms)
Lay down your arms child
(Just lay down your arms)

Robert Anthony Plant CBE (born 20 August 1948, West Bromwich, Staffordshire, England) is a British rock singer famous for being the lead vocalist of one of the most influential rock bands of all time: Led Zeppelin. He is known for his powerful style with a wide vocal range. After Led Zeppelin's breakup following the sudden death of drummer John Bonham in 1980, Plant pursued a successful solo career. Popular tracks from this period include "Big Log," "Tall Cool One," and "I Believe." In 1984, Plant formed a short-lived all-star group with Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck and Phil Collins called The Honeydrippers, who had a Top Ten hit with a remake of the Phil Phillips' tune, "Sea of Love".

Plant's love of the music of Morocco led him to a new collaboration called Robert Plant And The Strange Sensation. The band's releases met with critical acclaim and numerous Grammy nominations. They completed the 2006 tour of Europe in September.

In 2007, Plant began recording and performing with bluegrass star Alison Krauss. A duet album, Raising Sand, was released on 23 October 2007 on Rounder Records. The album, recorded in Nashville and Los Angeles and produced by T-Bone Burnett met with enormous critical and commercial success.

The year of 2010 proves to be yet another successful year for the aging lemon squeezer. Durring the summer, Plant will be reuniting with his old, Pre-Zep group, The Band Of Joy, for a tour of the southern and mid continental tour of the US.
