Our Dreams Lyrics

When we were growing up
We wanted to become the special people
In this lonely, broken place
And after all the years have gone
Only a few of us ever reached our goals
Some of us are still trying hardDo you know?
That's all we wanted was to have our dream
Do you know?
That's all we wanted was to have our dreamOur ambitions, are sacred to us
They keep moving forward in our lives
You don't have the right to make it die in us
You don't have the right to destroyDo you know?
That's all we wanted was to have our dream
Do you know?
That's all we wanted was to have our dream
That's all we wanted was to have our dreamTo the governments of the world
To greed, to anger, to war, to hatred
To racism, to religion, to disease, to destruction

To the bombs, to confusion,to reality, to the jealousy
To the governments of the worldDo you know?
That's all we wanted was to have our dream
Do you know?
That's all we wanted was to have our dream
That's all we wanted was to have our dream
That's all we wanted was to have our dreamDo you know?
That's all we wanted was to have our dream
Do you know?
That's all we wanted was to have our dream
That's all we wanted was to have our dream

Anything Box is an electronica/synthpop musical group based in Los Angeles. It is made of musicians Claude S., Dania Morales, and Paul Rijnders. They are known primarily for their 1990 hit song "Living In Oblivion" from the popular album 'Peace', which was released through Epic Records. After acrimonious fighting with that label and changing music times, the group broke off and has since released multiple independent albums to a devoted following of synthpop fans. They've also incorporated more industrial and techno influences. 1990's 'Peace' was notably followed up by 1993's 'Hope'.
