Our Own World Lyrics

we'll never be broken
not like the morning
when the sky
through the night comes yawning
no indecision faded at last
too late to change our past
as you look to me
so i look to youuntil finally
we both can seeunder, over inside uswe're in our own worldcoming through the darkness
up across the ocean
we fall
in deep emotion
this understanding
though we're not together
naked with hearts laid bare
but i think of you as you think of me until illogically
you're here with meunder, over inside us
we're in our own worldshut them out

we're gonna scream and shout gonna shut them out
gonna scream and shout
gonna shut them out
gonna scream and shoutwe'll shut them out
they'll scream and shout we'll shut them out
they'll scream and shout
she'll shut them out
they'll scream and shoutwe'll shut them out, out, out
they'll scream and shout, shout, shout
we'll shut them out
this is eternal
this is the future
love's running wild
like a creatureor move a mountain
can't undermine uswe shall always remain
i'm touching you inside
your touching me inside
until eventually
there's nowhere to hideunder and over inside us we're in our own world we're in our own world in our own world, in our own world

Formed in Chelmsford when main protagonists Douglas McCarthy (vocals) and Bon Harris (drums, programming) were just 15, Nitzer Ebb cut a dynamic swathe through the electronic music and Balaeric beat scenes of the 1980s and 90s. They were electro-punks before the genre even existed, at a time when The Prodigy were not even a gleam in fellow Essex boy Liam Howlett's eye. Militaristic, intimidating yet always accessible, Nitzer Ebb enjoyed a string of ferocious club hits and released five critically acclaimed albums on Mute.
