Our Time Lyrics

There's a rule in the book that says
It's got to be fun, yeah, yeah
I hate to admit but my feelings have changed, yeah
Everybody expects to hear a love song
Love can't come from something baby that never was
And I'm leaving behind, you in my mind
Though I know it's new, it's something I'll try
And I'll always remember the way that we cared for
Our time, our time
There's a time and a place where thoughts are discovered
A package of ten all the sheets that I need, yeah, yeah
What I call a gift can't be given to many
But loving a friend, baby, just ain't the same
Well I'm leaving behind the you in my mind
Though I know it's new, it's something I'll try
And I'll always remember the way that we cared for
Our time, our time, our time
Sorrow hangs like a halo, baby on my head

But regret will never fill my vacant heart, no
Well I'm leaving behind the you in my mind
Though I know it's new it's something I'll try
And I'll always remember the way that we cared for
I'm leaving behind the you in my mind
Though I know it's new it's something I'll try
And I'll always remember the way that we cared for
Our time, our time

Simon Townshend(The Who) on guitar and vocals, Mark Brzezicki (Big Country, Procul Harum, The Cult, Pete Townshend) on drums, and Bruce Foxton on the bass (The Jam, Stiff Little Fingers) are the main members of this band. Many of the songs on the full length album, Venustrophobia, are older Simon Townshend songs remixed to the fit the styles of his new band mates and they sound amazing. There are also a few new songs that are just as strong. The guitar is sharp and the bass really driving with a strong backbeat from the drums backing Simon's superb voice.
