Out of My Way Back to You Lyrics

I'm walking down this road
And in my hand I hold a gun
I'm thirty-four years old
and I've got no where left to runI'm just about out of floors that I can sleep on
I'm just about out of friends to see me though
I'm just about out of my mind but I keep on
I'm just about out of my way back to youI walk these empty streets
Of this dirty drunken town
And the earth beneath my feet
That's where I will lie downI'm just about out of floors that I can sleep on
I'm just about out of friends to see me though
I'm just about out of my mind but I keep on
I'm just about out of my way back to youDon't treat me like I'm a criminal
Don't act like I'm a bad dream
Don't act like I'm a stranger
I know I've been a foolNow I'm nearly to your door
Will you let me in
Or will you laugh and say

Oh here we go againI'm just about out of floors that I can sleep on
I'm just about out of friends to see me though
I'm just about out of my mind but I keep on
I'm just about out of my way back to youI'm just about out of floors that I can sleep on
I'm just about out of friends to see me though
I'm just about out of my mind but I keep on
I'm just about out of my way back to youOut of my way back to you
Out of my way back to you
Out of my way back to you
Woooo!

Cowboy Mouth is a rock band based in New Orleans, Louisiana, taking their name from the title of a Sam Shepard play which got the term from a Bob Dylan song. The nucleus of the band, Fred Leblanc (Drums, Vocals) and John Thomas Griffith (Guitar, Vocals), formed in the early 1990s, and they climbed the ladder from an opening act living in a van to a powerhouse live act that has been called "a religious experience" by more than one music journalist. In particular their 2004 live Lincoln Park, Chicago album "Live From the Zoo" received incredible criticial praise, especially form Rolling Stone.
