Outerspace Girl Lyrics

Well can you hear me out there?
I send this message to you
Transmitting out through the air
Signals into the blueIt's Earth boy calling on frequency ten
All far out galaxies
I'm beaming love out to my one special friend
Well are you receiving me?Outerspace girl
I'm sending out a message to you
Outerspace girl
I'm sending out a message to you
Are you receiving me?Well are you grooving up there
On your mission of love
Whizzing onwards at warp factor nine
Several light years aboveOuterspace girl
I'm sending out a message to you
Outerspace girl
I'm sending out a message to youMy outerspace girl
I'm sending out a message to you

Outerspace girl
I'm sending out a message to you
Are you receiving me?Well if you ever come back down
To this planet safe and sound
I will be there as you touch down
So that your feet don't touch the groundOuterspace girl
I'm sending out a message to you
Outerspace girl
I'm sending out a message to youMy outerspace girl
I'm sending out a message to you
Outerspace girl
I'm sending out a message to you
Are you receiving me?Well if you ever come back down
To this planet safe and sound
I will be there as you touch down
So that your feet don't touch the groundOr if you'd rather stay up there
Just hanging out in deeper space
I'll send more messages of love
To keep a smile upon your faceAre you receiving me? Are you receiving me?
Are you receiving me? Are you receiving me?
Are you receiving me? Are you receiving me?
Are you receiving?

Originally a quartet whose sound drew inspiration from psychedelia, the Beloved found its greatest success as a rave-influenced dance-pop duo. Throughout its fluid existence, the guiding force behind the group remained vocalist Jon Marsh, who formed the band Journey Through inCambridge, UK with Steve Waddington and Tim Havard; with the addition of Guy Gausden (November 1984), the group renamed itself the Beloved, and gradually evolved into a moody dance outfit not dissimilar to New Order.
