Perfect Day Lyrics

When I wake up in the morning
When the sun comes up
I want to tell you how I feel
And I feel no one's luckier than mePerfect days rarely come my way
Bue I've had a few and they've been with you
I'll hang around because I want some more
And I want you to have these days, tooWe were downtown drinking on a Wendnesday night
You know it sucks to be alone
Then I told myself I was never going homeWhen I wake up in the morning
When the sun comes up
I want to tell you how I feel
And I feel no one's luckier than meYesterday was a perfect day
It's times like these that you never forget
I hope you're feeling the same way too
'Cause I know I don't have any regretsI was a Thursday morning
And the sun was shining
It felt good to be alive
A perfect day with you by my sideWhen I wake up in the morning

When the sun comes up
I want to tell you how I feel
And I feel no one's luckier than meWhen the evening rolls around
You know I love just to sit around with time on our side
I feel so alive with youThe sun comes up, sometimes it's not enough
But when I'm with you, it can rain all day
I'd like to think you feel the same way too
'Cause to me there is no other wayWe were laying in bed on Friday night
I felt good not to be alone
And I look at you
I feel like I'm at homeWhen I wake up in the morning
When the sun comes up
I want to tell you how I feel
And I feel no one's luckier than me
When I lay down the evening
When the sun goes down
Don't leave me alone
'Cause in your arms, I feel like I'm at home

The Suicide Machines were a band formed in 1991 in Detroit, Michigan under the original name Jack Kevorkian and the Suicide Machines. The band's original lineup consisted of Jason Navarro on vocals, Dan Lukacinsky on guitar, Jason Brake on bass, and Stefan Rairigh on drums. This lineup lasted a year until Bill Jennings replaced Rairigh, but he was himself soon replaced by Derek Grant. They recorded the band's first demos The Essential Kevorkian and Green World in 1993 and 1994, both released through their own label Sluggo's Old Skool Records.
