C/A/T was started in early 1998 by crunch pod label head, Ben Arp, as an experimental industrial project. The project went on hiatus in Summer 2011 when Crunch Pod closed. Arp briefly resurrected the project in May 2014, but ended it again and retired from music production in September 2014.
