Pick up the Pace Lyrics

I kick myself when you did not show
a clue to a puzzle that I thought I'd know
a reflection in a window but it's not quite clear
Just why the hell you disappear?I've searched all along these rows of terraces for you
I've searched all the terraces for you
But we'll never get through anything if we're moving at this rate
Honey you've got, you've got, you've got to pick up the pace
The drunken boys scream something crass
and they're all reeling in the aftermath.
They swore they saw you just this week past
The ball is dropped so the chain reacts
I've searched all along these rows of terraces for you
I've searched all the terraces for you
But we'll never get through anything if we're moving at this rate
Honey you've got, you've got, you've got to pick up the pace
Pick up the paceI know, sometimes it's rough
But you can't act up everytime you've had enough
Oh I know, you've made mistakes

But it's time you started picking up the pace
(Pick up the pace)
I've searched all along these rows of terraces for you
I've searched all the terraces for you
But we'll never get through anything if we're moving at this rate
Honey you've got, you've got, you've got to pick up the pace
Pick up the pace

Hometown: New York. Band lineup: Matt Hitt (vocals, guitar), Jack Ridley III (guitar), Erik Lee Snyder (bass), and Joe Brodie (drums). We can't tell yet if Drowners are a typical New York band or a typical London one. They're said by some to be part of the ongoing Britpop renaissance (Blur and Pulp reforming, new bands like Blackeye forming), but really they have more in common with the early-noughties CBGBs revival.
