Planet Home (Album Version) Lyrics

You know there's no place like planet home
Nowhere else I would rather be
It's the only place I know
Where you can witness tragedy
There's no time to wonder now
About who is right or wrong
We're gonna need some help to get things straight
So come on, bring your advice along,
Because sure enoughThere's no place like planet home
I wanna go now
If only we can make it right, planet home
I wanna go now
This blue sphere of talented dreams
Is heading for destruction
Illusions drip from every seam
It's just death by corruption
I heard there was a promised land
On planet home

2000 years they've been and gone
But still we don't knowCan't you see that there's no place like planet home
I wanna go now
If only we can make it right planet home
I wanna go now
I wanna go there baby
Find yourself some peace on planet home
I wanna go now
Anything's in reach on planet home
Planet home, planet homePlanet home is blue and green
Beautiful for you to see
Planet home is blue and green
Beautiful for you to see
Planet home is blue and green
Beautiful for you to see
Planet home is blue and greenI wanna go nowI wanna go nowPlanet home I wanna go there, planet home
There's no place like planet home
I wanna go now
If only we can make it right, planet home
I wanna go now, hey I really wanna go now
Find yourself some peace on planet home
I wanna go now, I wanna go there baby
Anything's in reach on planet home

Jamiroquai is a funk/acid jazz band which formed in London, England, United Kingdom in 1992. The band currently consists of Jason 'Jay Kay' Cheetham (vocals), Matt Johnson (keyboards), Rob Harris (guitar), Paul Turner (bass), Derrick McKenzie (drums) , Sola Akingbola (percussion), Lorraine McIntosh (backing vocals) and Hazel Fernandez (backing vocals). The name "Jamiroquai" is derived from the Native American Iroquois tribe, with which Kay has said he identifies philosophically, combined with 'Jam', as in musical jamming.

After Jay Kay auditioned unsuccessfully to be the singer of the Brand New Heavies, he decided to put together his own band. Jamiroquai's first single, "When You Gonna Learn?", was released in 1992 on the Acid Jazz label. Following its success, Kay signed a £1,000,000 eight-album record deal with Sony BMG Music Entertainment. The band enjoys worldwide popularity and is the best-known member of the early-1990s London-based acid jazz movement, alongside groups such as Incognito, Galliano, and Corduroy. Jamiroquai has since, however, moved in other musical directions.
