Play It Cool Lyrics

Dormant vices turned on their devices
Now, she's raising money for the sex appeal
And when she grazed her knees upon the Astro turf
All her blood turned green as the TV screamedWhatever you want to do, do it now an' pay later
Whatever you want to say, say it now an' pay later
Whatever you want to clean, wash it now an' go later
Whatever you want to do, do it now an' pay later'Cause it's no problem if you play it cool
Things are different if you act a foolThe electric mistress always sounds so bold
She says I'm free to do anything I'm told
I try the latest newsflash, it's sensational
I feel so seduced, tell me to reproduceWhatever you want to do, do it now an' pay later
Whatever you want to say, say it now an' pay later
Whatever you want to pray, pray it now an' pay later
Whatever you want to do, do it now an' pay later'Cause it's no problem if you play it cool
Things are different if you act a foolWhatever you want to do, do it now an' pay later
Whatever you want to say, say it now an' pay later
Whatever you want to clean, wash it now an' go later
Whatever you want to do, do it now an' pay later'Cause it's no problem if you play it cool

Things are different if you act a fool

Campi's trademark is his white double bass, which he often jumps on top of and "rides" while playing. After his family moved to Austin, Texas in 1944, Campi began a lifetime of performing and recording music in numerous American genres, including folk, country, and rock and roll as well as rockabilly. He rarely concentrated on his musical career exclusively, working a wide variety of jobs, notably twenty-five years spent as a high-school teacher in Glendale, California.
