Politricks Lyrics

So you want a nation?
Your very own nation
Push the machine aside
Many have triedWe have always been there
We will always be there
Making sure you need us
And feed usWe got the money
We got the power
We got the guns
We got TVYou are our livestock
We make you love it
Slave and dream for escape
But scared to death of changeWant to hear my speech? No
Want to share my thoughts? No
Protest, protestCome now is it worth the hassle?
Worth all your precious time?
You'll grow old, you'll give upWe farm you, we milk you
Your energy's for us to drain

Office, sweatshop, plantation, the sameI know we can survive our choice
I know we can be what we want to be
I know we can survive
I know we will surviveThe only game we know
We must have more and more
Make more, take more
Control moreYou are our marketplace
Not a community
No Subcomandante ski-mask
Will lead you to no promised landWant to hear my speech? No
Want to share my thoughts? No
Protest, protest

Enjoy the lyrics !!!

Terry Lynn comes to Last Gang by way of Waterhouse - an impoverished area of Kingston, Jamaica. Her sound is as penetrating as her message, both unrelenting in their break from the status quo, and demand for change. Daft Punk meets Marley meets Malcolm X - Terry's revolution remains one of optimism while depicted with powerful imagery uncovering the serious and often dark picture of corruption, violence, and poverty that makes up day to day life on the 'other' side of Jamaica.
