Positivity Lyrics

Yeah, yeah
You gotta keep it on the positiveNa, na, naNowadays it's hard to make a livin' but easy to make a killin
'Cause people walk around one just one itchy feelin'
I feel nauseated from your evil drug dealin', bless feelin'
The definition of top billin'
It's ill the my vocabulary, diggin' your life style scary
No wonder why you carry a two to retaliate
Tryin' to annihilate the one a two annihilate you
They got some dude just to get you buggedReally y'all, this shit is all out of whack
You can go out at night yet you won't come back
And this verse that I'm kickin' some might take it personal
And come out and get me, but worst of all
These rap fans are taking these shit serious
It ain't New York versus L.A.
'Cause really it's hip-hop, not a big ole' problem
Now let's see what we could do to solve 'emNa, na, na
We gotta keep it on the positive
Na, na, na

We must keep it on the positiveLucifer's got your little mind twisted
'Cause God once gave you the meaning of life and you missed it
You've been listed in the devil's books
Livin' the life of crooks and hoes and in such and such
All that shit, that don't mean much
You got one hand on your gat while your genitals are being touched
Livin' the life that's plushed and glamorous
Drunk and high with your little soul's crushedDon't you know that life is a mirage?
I keep myself sober so my soul is camouflaged
If the devil cannot see me tell me how can he attack me
If he can't grasp a hold, tell me how can he try to snatch me
I ain't talking about the white man, the black man or a Jew man
'Cause the devil can exist in every human
Look how Biggie went out, and Tupac went out
And Martin, and Malcolm, and Kennedy, and Squeek
And Adam, and Rene, and so on, and so onNa, na, na
We gotta keep it on the positive
Na, na, na
We gotta keep it on the positiveEven though we got problems
We gotta find some way to solve 'em
I hope you come and follow me now
(Keep it on the positive)
Even though we got problems
I hope you find some way to solve 'em
We gotta keep it on the positiveP O S I T I V I T Y
P O S I T I V I T YWe're currently located over the Los Angeles scene
While you see a lot of niggas perpetrating like they're kings
With this so-called God complex
But when I see they mind they only see checks
So let's get our heads together, let's form a bad weather
Proclaim against perpetrators well said, alligator
Our realm, no perpetrator, a society choose the elevator
Of success by identity cross-fader
Complex thinking they're really much greater
Plain raw, harness all, maybe rough radar
Tough enough to perpetrate, I talk to you laterBut wait, what about that midget brains
Unable to see reality too unreal, I'm sealed with mind, body and soul
Connected together, we tougher than leather
We much more than you think we are
We are the product of our on environment repent
With equality, plus duality and taken all kind of possibilities, bilities
I sing the song from the soul, let it rise from the tone
Let it rhythmically grow into it's own life, let it become you
Then you become it, once you become it everything will be infiniteWe much more than you think we are
We are the product of our on environment repent
With equality, plus duality mainly we present positivity
I sing the song from the soul, let it rise from the tone
Let it rhythmically grow into its own life, let it become you
Then you become it, once you become it everything will be infinite
Will be infinite, will be infinite, will be infinite

The Black Eyed Peas are an American hip hop/pop group formed in Los Angeles in 1995. The group is currently composed of will.i.am, Taboo, Fergie and Apl.de.ap. Since their breakout album Elephunk in 2003, they have seen international fame for their pop/dance-oriented style of hip hop music. Black Eyed Peas have so-far sold an estimated 56 million albums and singles to date worldwide, and still counting.

Black Eyed Peas went to centenary state high school and got their start in 1988 when will.i.am (born 1975 William James Adams Jr.) and apl.de.ap (born 1974 Allan Pineda) began rapping and performing together around Los Angeles. The pair signed to Ruthless Records (run by Eazy-E) after catching the attention of the nephew of Jerry Heller (Eazy-E's manager). Along with Mookie Mook (Burning Star), Dante Santiago & DJ Motiv8, they called their group A.T.B.A.N. Klann. Their debut album, Grass Roots, was not released originally because Ruthless did not consider the social themes reflected in the group's music to be marketable to their audience. A single "Puddles of H2O" was released in 1994 but no album was released until it leaked onto the Internet in the mid 2000s.

After Eazy-E died of AIDS in 1995, They changed their name to Black Eyed Peas; will.i.am explained on the front cover of the Monkey Business album that "Black Eyed Peas are food for the soul", hence the name. will.i.am has cited the Red Hot Chili Peppers as an influence and said he named his band after a food, like them. They replaced their original third member Mookie, with Dante Santiago the Peas original singer. Then Taboo (born Jaime Gomez) joined the group. Dante Santiago took on a role as a guest vocalist in the band and featured frequently on various tracks for their first four albums.

In 1996, they produced and appeared on a song entitled "That's Right" for Brian Austin Green's hip-hop album One Stop Carnival. Later, they began using Kim Hill as a steady background singer. Unlike many hip-hop acts, they chose to perform with a live band and adopted a musical and clothing style that differed wildly from the "gangsta rap" sounds of other Los Angeles-based hip-hop acts at the time. Through the mid-'90s, they performed in the local club circuit alongside fellow acts such as Ozomatli and Jurassic 5.

The group were signed to Interscope Records and released their debut, "Behind the Front", in 1998. The album won the group (and their accompanying live band, the Bucky Jonsons) critical acclaim. The album featured the single "Joints & Jams", which was included on the Bulworth soundtrack. Their second album, "Bridging the Gap", was released in 2000; it featured the single "Request + Line" featuring Macy Gray.

After replacing their female background singer with Fergie, the group released their breakout album, "Elephunk", and their 2005 album, "Monkey Business", which featured the hit singles "Pump It", "Don't Phunk With My Heart", "Don't Lie" and "My Humps".

"The E.N.D. (The Energy Never Dies)", their fifth album, was released worldwide in June 2009 and has managed to sell 5 million copies in 8 months (Elephunk: 7 million, Monkey Business: 10 million). It already spawned 2 of the most downloaded singles of all time: "Boom Boom Pow" and "I Gotta Feeling", both were downloaded 5 million times only in the USA. The 3rd single "Meet Me Halfway" was downloaded 2 million times and the 4th "Imma Be", which was just released, already sold 1 million. "Rock That Body" is the 5th single.
