Punxsie Lyrics

I might be in the dark but you know who you are
They say you're the strangest one in the world
But I'm not worried, no, no, I'm not worriedYou're such a punxsie thing, hey looking for danger signs
Hey punxsie' you don't talk to strangers
Such a punxsie thingOthers might put you down but myself I've finally found
That you're making my whole world go around
And it's no sacrifice no, no, it's no sacrificeYou're such a punxsie thing' hey looking for danger signs
Hey punxsie' you don't talk to strangers
Such a punxsie thing looking for danger signsSitting here thinking, thinking well
Sometimes in life, sometimes in life
There are things that you want, I know what I want
And there are things that you need, I know what I need
To see me through
Then there are things that you desireBet you were quite a toy when you were a baby
And baby that ain't that long ago
But you don't want no one to know
No, no, you don't want no one to knowYou're such a punxsie thing, hey looking for danger signs
Hey punxsie, you don't talk to strangers

Such a punxsie thing, you're making my world go around
You're making my world go aroundThings that you want, punxsie, oh yeah
See you 'round, see you around
Things that you want, punxsie, oh yeah
See you 'round, see you around
Things that you want, punxsie, oh yeah
Things that you need, punxsie, oh yeah
Things that I want, punxsie, oh yeah
See you 'round, see you around
Things that I want, punxsie, oh yeah
See you 'round

No doubt best known for their ode to self-pleasure, Divinyls (often incorrectly referred to as "The Divinyls") - the core of the which is and has been fiery vocalist Christina Amphlett and guitarist Mark McEntee - were a long-standing fixture in the Australian scene during the 1980's, scoring multiple Australian hit singles in the early '80's before breaking big internationally with "I Touch Myself" and "Ain't Gonna Eat Out My Heart Anymore" in the early 90's.
