Quit Breaking Up With Me Lyrics

Advisory - the following lyrics contain explicit language:
You say it's over, with a middle finger
But then you're calling before I turn off my ringer
And I answer 'cause I love to hear you're sorry for the 400th timeWell,
You try to leave me
But you can't do it
'Cause I'm the only one who puts up with your (censorship)
I know that secretly you love making out with me right after we fightWell,
We're always fixing something that was never broken
We're on and off again like sobriety
Get back together every time you're done throwing a fit

So when you gonna quit
Breaking up with meWell,
You think by now
We'd finally get along
But we only feel right when everything is going wrong
And we're back in the habit of cussing each other up and downWell,
I hate your daddy, you hate my momma
But one thing we don't seem to hate is all the drama
But we never can remember what the hell we were yelling aboutWell,
We're always fixing something that was never broken
We're on and off again like sobriety
Get back together every time you're done throwing a fit
So when you gonna quit
Breaking up with meI don't know where you think you're going
Because you're stuck with me forever and you know it
(Forever, forever, forever, forever)
We're always fixing something that was never broken
We're on and off again like sobriety
Get back together every time you're done throwing a fit
So when you gonna quit
And breaking up with me
Yeah
And when you're gonna quit
Breaking up with me
But you know it (forever, forever, forever, forever, forever, forever, forever)

Little Big Town is an American country music band.

Formed in 1999, the band has four members: Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Jimi Westbrook and Phillip Sweet. There is no lead singer in the band; instead, they trade lead vocal duties as well as rely on the harmonies of the four members.

Little Big Town's self-titled 2002 debut for Sony's Monument Records was panned critically and did not sell commercially. The album had only one minor hit single, "Don't Waste My Time," and it wasn't long before Little Big Town was dropped from the label.

Little Big Town resurfaced on the Equity Music Group label (formed by country singer Clint Black), and on October 4, 2005, released their second album, The Road to Here. The new album was well-received critically, and spawned the smash hit single "Boondocks." Three further singles were released from the album, including the Top 5 hit "Bring It on Home." One track, ": Bones," was directed at Sony. Speaking with Songfacts about the song in a 2011 interview, Little Big Town's Phillip Sweet said: "There was a little bit of attitude from us to the label. But it wasn't like there was one particular person. It was more of like the big, bad label that won't let you be yourself, you know what I mean? (laughing) We were just saying 'this is who we are,' and then we eventually got dropped. And we were able to take that music and come out with it on an independent label."

Their second album with the Equity label, A Place to Land, was released in 2007. Although, not long after its release, the label folded. Little Big Town then re-released the album a year later via Capitol Nashville. Two of the album's singles were minor Top 40 hits.

In 2010, the group returned with "Little White Church," the lead-off to their fourth studio album, The Reason Why, which was released on August 24, 2010.

The Pontoon Songfacts reports in 2012, the group returned with "Pontoon," the lead-off to their fifth studio album. The song was released to Country radio on April 30, 2012.
