Rabbit's Foot Lyrics

In the sad persuasions
And all my useless explanations
All my misplaced dedications
I just want to hold you near
'Cuz now I know just who you are
I saw it written in the stars
I hear it whispered in my ear
The moment I awakeIt didn't work out the way we thought
But sometimes in our dreams we do the right thing
I want to be your comfort
Your private sky and rabbit's foot
I want to be the first to see
Your sleepy morning eyes
But there are no simple answers
And my life loves disasters
And right now I'm so shattered
Take me back into your heartIt didn't work out the way we thought
But sometimes in our dreams we do the right thing

I'm sorry I left you stranded
And I took so much for granted
But I was on another planet
Take me back into your heart
Like a miser with his money
Like a bear with his honey
Like a bouquet of sunny
All my love I give to theeIt didn't work out the way we thought
But sometimes in our dreams we do the right thing
