Radiance Lyrics

I've had enough of this red light
Been waiting here for no one, no one
It's driving on like reruns
Feeling nothing new, time has stoppedResting some for this town
It's comforting to know nothing newIf I could only make a sound
If I could only make a soundHolding the stars like paintings we are
Pull one down for me
Colors alive like radiance
Swimming back to your seaI can't explain this feeling
That's been grounding me for so long, so long
I'm keeping faith, I move on
Praying for something soonIf I could only make a sound
If I could only make a soundHolding the stars like paintings we are
Pull one down for me
Colors alive like radiance
Swimming back to your sea
Swimming back to your seaHow long, how long must I scream to the guards?
"Let me out?", to the past I'm anchored'Cause I could only make a sound

That, if I could only make a soundHolding the stars like paintings we are
Pull one down for me
Colors alive like radiance
Swimming back to your seaHolding the stars like paintings we are
Holding the stars, pull one down for me

Drew Sullivan, aka Slow Dancing Society is a Washington based producer and musician. His first album, “The Sound of Lights When Dim” is a sumptuous unfolding ride towards a fading horizon. The album has all the qualities of an Eno ambient classic whilst forging its own musical and emotional path. As with Brian Eno’s finest moments and David Sylvian’s ambient explorations, this work manages to dissolve its temporal markers and speak about moments removed from time. It talks to the delicious flaws of memory and feeling whilst never sullying itself with literalness or simple documentation.
