Reasons Lyrics

Reasons
They keep giving reasons
They say in these seasons
The season is bloodReasons
They keep giving reasons
They say in these seasons
The season is bloodLet the dogs, let the dogs
Let the dogs lie and then
Let the dogs, let the dogs
Let the dogs die with youI know that you don't want to be
Out of here
I know that you have got that
Inner fearOver run by one
Over run by the other
Over run by one
Over run by the otherOver run by one
Over run by the other
Over run by one

Over run by the otherThe city is aching from
Two thousand years
The city is rattling with a
Million fearsReasons
They're looking for reasons
They say in this season
The season is deathOver run by one
Over run by the other
Over run by one
Over run by the otherThe city in dusk
Her amber belly
Her velvet eyesOver run by one
Over run by the other
Over run by one
Over run by the otherReasons
There's got to be reasons
They say in these seasons
The season is fearLet the child, let the child
Let the child speak and then
Let the child, let the child
Let the child wreak havocIt's blood spilling under the
Cedar tree
It's blood is saying that you're
On your kneesOver run by one
Over run by the other
Over run by one
Over run by the otherThe city in dusk
Her amber belly
Her velvet eyesHer lovers that lust
Her favors many
With no disguiseOver run by one
Over run by the other
Over run by one
Over run by the otherThe city in dusk
Her amber belly
Her velvet eyesOver run by one
Over run by the other
Over run by one
Over run by the otherOver run by one
Over run by the other
Over run by one
Over run by the other

Formed in Chelmsford when main protagonists Douglas McCarthy (vocals) and Bon Harris (drums, programming) were just 15, Nitzer Ebb cut a dynamic swathe through the electronic music and Balaeric beat scenes of the 1980s and 90s. They were electro-punks before the genre even existed, at a time when The Prodigy were not even a gleam in fellow Essex boy Liam Howlett's eye. Militaristic, intimidating yet always accessible, Nitzer Ebb enjoyed a string of ferocious club hits and released five critically acclaimed albums on Mute.
