Rebirth Lyrics

Once again, once again, once again
We start again
Once again, once again, once again
We start againNo one there, there's only me
I don't need no sympathy
No one there, there's only me
I don't need no sympathyNo one there, there's only me
I don't need no sympathy
No one there, there's only me
I don't need no sympathyNo one there, there's only me
I don't need no sympathy
No one there, there's only me
I don't need no sympathyLike they rose from the dead again
Such fools shot me straight through the head again
Blessed as the children of Endo saw
That sword strike through less than the penSurfacing from primordial war
We are the sons and daughters of Thor
'Cause take a pretense to the slaughter

Leave other serians on Jordan quartersAs we woke that morning
Human, best that we skip the foreman
Ice grinning, torettes still pouring
Fishman crafting, crying out, callingLovers have been absorbing endorphins
We're just an unsuccessful abortion
Spartan boys, raised for waring
Who told them we are reborn againNo one there, there's only me
I don't need no sympathy
No one there, there's only me
I don't need no sympathyRise again
We'll start againWe'll start againRise again, rise again, rise again
We'll start again

Gershon Kingsley was born Goetz Gustav Ksinski in Bochum, Westfalia, Germany on October 28,1922. He grew up in Berlin, but fled to Palestine in 1938 because of the rise of Nazism. Separated from his family at age 15, Kingsley lived and worked on a kibbutz (a cooperative farm) in a land that would become Israel. Here, he became a self-taught pianist and later performed with local jazz bands around Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. He is probably most famous for his "Popcorn" tune, popularized by Hot Butter.
