Rejoice Lyrics

Ah, me say things get bitter in the west
We haffi head to the east
Ah, you done know Sizzla Kalongi ever bless
You see it, you see it
Selassie I, ah, Prince of Peace
Tell you just be nice and live it up, me nah lie
Rejoice and praise Rastafari
Just be nice and live it up, me nah lie
Rejoice and praise Rastafari
Some fightin' for power when love lead the multitude
Every second every hour children calling out for food
They want to go to school in clean clothes and pretty shoes
Give us now because mama say promise is a comfort to a fool
Teach them to love them one another
Love stop them from killing of each other
Follow the words of your fathers and your mothers
To hurt yourself, I tell you don't you bother, hey
Just be nice and live it up, mi nah lie

Rejoice and praise King Selassie I
I tell you just be nice and live it up, mi nah lie
Even though we taught them nah cry
The word is out, how dem so hype dem friend
Ah tell dem things and from foreign
Dem glad dem friend ah send them things
Ey youth be humble don't bad mind dem things
You work for what you want that's the powers of the King okay
Poor people facing things such bad position

Katherine Jenkins (born 29 June 1980) is a highly acclaimed Welsh mezzo-soprano, a classical-popular crossover singer who has gained an international reputation from her live and recorded performances across a spectrum of operatic arias, popular songs, musical comedy and hymns. In 2004, at the age of 23, she signed the largest record deal in United Kingdom classical recording history, with an undisclosed seven-figure deal.

Jenkins was born in Neath, Wales, where she and her sister Laura were raised by their parents Selwyn John (1924–1995) and Susan. She has twin half-sisters from her father's first marriage, neither of whom she has met.

Six out of seven of Jenkins's studio albums reached number one in the classical charts between 2004 and 2008, selling a total of more than 4 million copies. After her first album, Premiere, made her the fastest-selling mezzo-soprano to date she became the first British classical crossover artist to have two number one albums in the same year. She is also the first female artist to win two consecutive Classical BRIT Awards: her second album, Second Nature, reached number 16 in the UK pop charts and was Album of the Year in the 2005 BRIT Awards.

On Sunday 25th November 2007, Katherine Jenkins' new album 'Rejoice' entered the 'Official UK Album Chart' at number 3. Katherine beat off stiff competition from the likes of Girls Aloud, Led Zeppelin, Spice Girls, Take That and Celine Dion.
