Remain Lyrics

I feel it coming down from a far off place
I need assistance with a change of pace
In my heart now, there's an empty space
But you can change it, bring your heart my way
I've been through this alone before, I know no other way
Remnants of a life with you remain
Don't be alarmed now, I'm not grateful
For all you're given, it's so much bullshit
Run over wisdom, headed straight for deceit
It's rather sad now, what you've done to me
I've been through this alone before, I know no other way
I wish that I could have the heart to stay
Losing what we started for, destroyed everything
Remnants of a life with you remain
I don't belong here, take me far away
But if you change now, bring your heart my way
I've been through this alone before, I know no other way

I wish that I could have the heart to stay
Losing what we started for, destroyed everything
Remnants of a life with you remain
I've been through this alone before, I know no other way
Remnants of a life with you remain

The roots of Course of Nature entered the music scene with the singer, Mark Wilkerson, and guitarist, John Milldrum, in the band Cog. The band only released one album when Mark and John were involved, No Time At All, in March of 2001. After this they decided to leave the band and head in their own direction. Rickey Shelton joined them and they recorded an album. Their name is rather interesting due to the fact that while they had originally picked the name "Pull", they decided on the name "Course of Nature", which had been a track on the album Cog had earlier released.
