JAPE SQUAD BIOGRAPHY/BACKGROUND Like a latter day Robin Hood in dark glasses, founding member Blake Jape had, by mid- 2002, formed a group of merry men with similar attitudes to making rock music. The making of the first album, ‘Modern Holiday’ (2003) was completely chaotic. Lead vocalist Woody filled in on drums and producer Michael Alonso juggled the long cast of extra folk playing various instruments that came through the door.
