Rock Dust Light Star Lyrics

Baby, rock dust light star
Yeah, that's the oneRock dust light star
And it's coming at you, baby, yeahI'm a man on the moon
I'm hope I don't come back to soon
Am I the only one to see the light?
No use in getting down, upon your knees tonightSo dumped in love
Because I got no faith
I've seen those twisted lies
Thrown back into my faceI've heard the crazy doctrines
Of the human race, I must be aloneHow could it be?
Your gift to me
A salvo of heavy artillery
There's nothing about your war
You can call it what you likeI know where I'm from
And it's cold and dark
'Cause all the sinners
Are just saints without sparks
I'm having trouble, telling them apart, oh yeahComing at you

Rock dust light star
Coming at you, baby
At 36,000 miles an hour
Rock dust light star
Coming at you, baby
What you made of what you areNow look and see
Those stars for you and me
Waiting like silent killers in the night
Atomic legions
You can never fightI've never felt, I ever prayed
Don't have to join in
With the other slaves
I'm not the only one
Who feels betrayed
YeahSee, the more I think about it
I'm going against the grain
I won't be born again
Salvation's coming from up highComing at you baby, through the sky
From up high, yeahRock dust light star
Coming at you, baby
At 36,000 miles an hour
Rock dust light star
Coming at you, baby
What you made of what you areRock dust light star
Coming at you, baby
At 36,000 miles an hour
Rock dust light star
Coming at you, baby
What you made of what you areRock dust light star
Rock dust light starI'm a square pier in a round hole
Maybe there's no place left for my wounded soul
Maybe the King of Kings
Finally, lost control of itComing at you, babyRock dust light star
Coming at you, baby
At 36,000 miles an hourSalvation's coming
Coming at you, baby
At 36,000 miles an hour
Salvation's coming
Coming at you, baby
What you made of what you areLook up and see
Those stars for you and me
Look up and see
Rock dust light star
Coming at you, baby
From up high, yeah
Rock dust light star

Jamiroquai is a funk/acid jazz band which formed in London, England, United Kingdom in 1992. The band currently consists of Jason 'Jay Kay' Cheetham (vocals), Matt Johnson (keyboards), Rob Harris (guitar), Paul Turner (bass), Derrick McKenzie (drums) , Sola Akingbola (percussion), Lorraine McIntosh (backing vocals) and Hazel Fernandez (backing vocals). The name "Jamiroquai" is derived from the Native American Iroquois tribe, with which Kay has said he identifies philosophically, combined with 'Jam', as in musical jamming.

After Jay Kay auditioned unsuccessfully to be the singer of the Brand New Heavies, he decided to put together his own band. Jamiroquai's first single, "When You Gonna Learn?", was released in 1992 on the Acid Jazz label. Following its success, Kay signed a £1,000,000 eight-album record deal with Sony BMG Music Entertainment. The band enjoys worldwide popularity and is the best-known member of the early-1990s London-based acid jazz movement, alongside groups such as Incognito, Galliano, and Corduroy. Jamiroquai has since, however, moved in other musical directions.
