Rock The Roll Lyrics

Every girl thinks I'm so lucky
Just to be with you
I know that you agree with them
But here comes the other shoe
You don't know what you've got
Since you took the gamble on me
So stop messing around like you own this town
Cause you won the lottery
Don't think I'm playing around
Cause we're having too much fun to see
I'm not trying to bark but our future's dark
You know what I meanI'm so tired of making you cry
I think we're all okay and then I wonder why
You get so mad when I'm out on my own
You like it when I'm there when you come home
I just want you and everything that we got
Girl, ya know that I love ya and I love ya a lot
But I need some peace in a world so cold

You gotta know when to rock and not to rollYou gotta know when to rock and rock the roll
You gotta know when to rock and rock the roll
You gotta know when to rock and rock the roll
You gotta know when to rock and rock the roll
When to rock and when to rollYeah you're cute and sexy
But that won't take us very far
Everybody's pushing me
To date a big rock star
But that don't matter to me
Cause I'm already a queen
By the way I live and to who I give
And that's enough for me
So stop messing around with my heart
Cause I know I love ya a lot
But something's gotta change
This can't stay the same
I'm giving all I've gotGirl, I'd never tell you a lie
I'm not a superhero just a regular guy
I think it's time that we have some more fun
Can't always be worrying about what I've done
I just want you and everything that we got
Girl, ya know that I love ya and I love ya a lot
But I need some peace in a world so cold
You gotta know when to rock and not to rollYou gotta know when to rock and rock the roll
You gotta know when to rock and rock the roll
You gotta know when to rock and rock the roll
You gotta know when to rock and rock the roll
When to rock and when to roll

Jennifer Love Hewitt (born February 21, 1979 in Waco, Texas) is an American actress, voice actress, and singer-songwriter. As a singer, Hewitt has been signed by Atlantic Records and Jive Records. She is primarily known for her recordings in the pop genre and has a contralto vocal range. To date, her most successful single on the Billboard Hot 100 is the 1999 release How Do I Deal, which peaked at #59. In addition, she has contributed music to the promotion or soundtracks of acting projects. In 2009, Hewitt announced she had begun working on her new album, which she describes as sporting a country sound as opposed to her previous pop records.

In 1991, Meldac funded the recording of Hewitt's first album Love Songs, when she was just 12. The album was only released in Japan in 1992 where Hewitt became a pop star. Her explanation for her success in Japan is that the Japanese "love perky music. The poppier the music, the better." As an actress, Hewitt began her acting career as a child by appearing in television commercials and the Disney Channel series Kids Incorporated. She rose to fame in teenage popular culture via her roles in the Fox series Party of Five, as Sarah Reeves, and the films I Know What You Did Last Summer and its sequel, as Julie James.

In addition to acting, Hewitt has also served as a producer on certain film or television projects. She can be seen on the CBS television program Ghost Whisperer as Melinda Gordon, a young woman who can communicate with ghosts. She won a Saturn Award in 2007 and 2008 for Best Actress on Television.
