Rocky Top Lyrics

Wish that I was on ole Rocky Top
Down in the Tennessee hills
Ain't no smoggy smoke up on Rocky Top
Ain't no telephone billsOnce I had a girl on ole Rocky Top
Part bear, the other part cat
Wild as a mink but sweet as soda pop
I still dream about thatRocky Top, you'll always be
Home sweet home to me
Good ole Rocky Top
Rocky Top, Tennessee, Rocky Top, TennesseeOnce two strangers climbed old Rocky Top
Lookin' for a moonshine still
Strangers ain't come down from ol' Rocky Top
Reckon they never willCorn won't grow at all on Rocky Top
Dirt's too rocky by far
That's why all the folks on Rocky Top
Get their corn from a jarRocky Top, you'll always be
Home sweet home to me
Good ole Rocky Top

Rocky Top, Tennessee, Rocky Top, TennesseeRocky Top, you'll always be
Home sweet home to me
Good ole Rocky Top
Rocky Top, Tennessee, Rocky Top, Tennessee
Rocky Top Tennessee

Conway Twitty (1 September 1933 – 5 June 1993), born Harold Lloyd Jenkins, was one of the United States' most successful artists of the 20th century. Twitty had the most singles (55) reach Number 1 on various national music charts. Conway Twitty's across the board totals were greater than that of Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, the Beatles, and Garth Brooks. Most notably known as a country music singer, Twitty also enjoyed success in early Rock and Roll, R&B, and Pop music (among other genres). He teamed up with Loretta Lynn to form one of country music's most successful business partnerships.
