Mark Olson & The Creekdippers were a folk and country influenced group formed by songwriter Mark Olson and his then wife Victoria Williams after Olson left the influential alt-country band The Jayhawks. The band went on to record under many names including The Rolling Creekdippers, The Creekdippers and The Original Harmony Ridge Creekdippers.

After leaving The Jayhawks in the mid 90s, Olson wanted to return to his folk and country roots and with the help of his wife Victoria Williams, a respected folk-influenced singer-songwriter in her own right, and multi-instrumentalist Mike “Razz” Russell, recorded the well-received album The Original Harmony Ridge Creek Dippers in 1997 and released it on their own label, supplying it to fans through mail order. They teamed up again for the 1998 album Pacific Coast Rambler and 1999's Zola And The Tulip Tree.

By 2000 the trio decided to take to the road and were joined by multi-instrumentalists Joshua Grange and David Wolfenberger. This line-up, now called Mark Olson & The Creekdippers, went on to record the albums My Own Jo Ellen (2000), December's Child (2002) and Mystic Theatre (2004).

In 2004 the band also produced the politically charged, Political Manifest, which was released to a mixed reaction from fans and critics. The album proved to be the band's last as Olson and Williams split in 2006 with Olson returning to work with Gary Louris for an album called Ready For The Flood and an acclaimed solo album inspired by his divorce from Williams called The Salvation Blues.
