Russian Lullaby Lyrics

Where the dreamy volga flows
There's a lonely russian rose
Gazing tenderly
Down upon her knee
Where a baby's brown eyes glisten
ListenEv'ry night you'll hear her croon
A russian lullabyJust a little plaintive tune
When baby starts to cryRock-a-bye my baby
Somewhere there may beA land that's free for you and me
And a russian lullaby

His major recordings include "Dance of the Octopus", "Bughouse", "Knockin' on Wood", "Congo Blues", and "Hole in the Wall". Red Norvo was born Kenneth Norville in Beardstown, Illinois. The story goes that he sold his pet pony to help pay for his first marimba.
