thisGIRL were a blues/swing-influenced hard-rock band from Rotherham, near Sheffield,UK. They were: Liam Creamer - vocals, Chris Shepherd - Guitar, Matt Westley - Bass, Ryan Jenkins - Drums. Their music often confounded critics as it was very difficult to pigeon-hole. thisGIRL were originally called Gerl, but this was changed after they realised this name was already in use. They formed after meeting at a Skunk Anansie gig shortly into the new millenium. Their first track to be released was an appearance on the Lockjaw records compilation 'Helping you back to work volume 6'.
