Sancta Terra Lyrics

A place we tried to search a thousand times
To finally feel as if
Forever wasn't ever long enough
I will refrainI feel a passion watching over me
To shed this pain in me
This evolution will empower me
Now truth beginsAnd you will not find me
(I am safe in here)
I'm where I want to beIt's a place where your wish will be granted
Come, you'll see I'm right
It's a force that will linger within you
Dark as day is nightIt's a place where your dreams will be sancted
And will always be
It's a force that will send what's within you
Just you wait and seeTake one step closer to the borderline
When night is taken back
(Taken back)
This mortal coil is gone and left behind

On holy soilAnd you will not find me
(I am safe in here)
I'm where I want to beIt's a place where your wish will be granted
Come, you'll see I'm right
It's a force that will linger within you
Dark as day is nightIt's a place where your dreams will be sancted
And will always be
It's a force that will send what's within you
Just you wait and seeYou will not find me
I am safe in here
I am where I want to be
So leave me now in peaceAnd you will not find me
(I am safe in here)
I'm where I want to beIt's a place where your wish will be granted
Come, you'll see I'm right
It's a force that will linger within you
Dark as day is nightIt's a place where your dreams will be sancted
And will always be
It's a force that will send what's within you
Just you wait and seeIt's a place where your wish will be granted
Come, you'll see I'm right
It's a force that will linger within you
Dark as day is nightIt's a place where your dreams will be sancted
And will always be
It's a force that will send what's within you
Just you wait and see

Gone In April came to life in 2009. During a phone call overseas between Felix and Yanic, the German guitarist described his new material to the Canadian drummer for an album. Felix and Yanic had previously worked together on 2 albums at a distance, and therefore, the trust between the 2 musicians was in place. With mp3s sent by email and a few telephone discussions, Yanic suggested a change in the vocal direction: trying lead female vocals.
