Sand In My Soul Lyrics

Something 'bout the ocean that makes me smile
Makes me wanna stop and stay a while
Just give me a little beach that goes for miles and miles
I got sand in my soulI love the mountains I love the plains
Lights of the cities and the open range
But after a while I've had all I can take
I got sand in my soulIt makes me happy
It makes me happy
You know I'm happy when I got
Sand between my sheets
Sand between my toes
Give me a home where the seabreezes blow
I got sand in my soul
I dream of the day when I cash it all in
And open an umbrella chair and a stand
Work on my tan with a drink in my hand
I got sand in my soulIt makes me happy
It makes me happy

You know I'm happy when I got
Sand between my sheets
Sand between my toes
It ain't right or wrong it's just where I belong
I got sand in my soulHey hey hey hey hey hey
Hoh hoh hoh hoh hoh hohSomeday I'll find her she'll be just like me
We'll share salty kisses hang out by the sea
We'll roll with the surf and climb coconut trees
I got sand in my soul
We'll be happy
We'll be happy
We'll be happy when we got
Sand between our sheets
Sand between our toes
She'll tell everyone she loves because
I got sand in my soulGive me a home where the seabreezes blow
I got sand in my soul

Dean Brody (born in Jaffray, British Columbia) is a Canadian country music artist. Signed to Broken Bow Records in 2008, Brody made his debut late that year with the single "Brothers". This song, a Top 40 country hit in both Canada and the US, is the first single from his debut album, released in 2009 under the production of Matt Rovey.

Dean Brody was born in Jaffray, British Columbia, Canada.[2] As a boy, Brody worked at a sawmill, also playing guitar in his spare time. By 2004, he had moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue his musical career. Although he found a songwriting contract, the expiration of his US work permit forced him to move back to Canada. Eventually, he returned to Nashville through the suggestion of producer Keith Stegall, who helped him sign with Broken Bow Records in 2008.[2] Brody released his debut single, "Brothers", late that year. Shortly before its release, Brody was injured in a waterskiing accident.[3]
