Sandy Denny Lyrics

Once Sandy Denny was young
And she wore a school girls uniform
Windows of our lives become boarded up in timeDecisions made for spite
And we're unprepared for life
The things we dislike in others
We find in ourselvesSummer left us with one
Summer left us with one
Summer left us with oneActing like a boy with a man
Music halls like belonging
They scatter in the wind
Fruits stands bend and break in the distanceDecisions made for spite
And we're unprepared for life
The things we dislike in others
We find in ourselvesSummer left us with one
Summer left us with one
Summer left us with oneAnd I remember I broke in hello
The way the bottles flew
And so we go on alone

Fruits stands bend and break in the distanceDecisions made for spite
And we're unprepared for life
The things we dislike in others
We find in ourselvesSummer left us with one
Summer left us with one
Summer left us with oneOnce Sandy Denny was young
And she wore a school girls uniform
