Saturn Lyrics

I ask Him when will I be free
He said, "I am"
Asking Him when will I change
He said, "No matter now, no matter now"
Saturn has a ring around it
You can never see it with your eyes
Saturn has a ring around it
Many moons know this to be true
You ask Him, how can you be real
He said, "You'll be"
Knowing Him how you do
Now He says, "Rest in this, rest in this"
Saturn has a ring around it
You can never see it with your eyes
Saturn has a ring around it
Many moons know this to be true
Saturn has a ring around it
You can never see it with your eyes

Saturn has a ring around it
Many moons know this to be
Saturn has a ring around it
Which you can never see it with your eyes
Saturn has a ring around it
Many moons know this to be
Heaven has a ring around it
The angels sing a song over You
Heaven has a ring around You
If You don't see it know that it's true
Heaven has a ring around it
The angels sing a song over You
Heaven has a ring around You
If You don't see it know that it's true
If You don't see it know that it's true
If You don't see it know that it's true
If You don't see it know that it's true

Alexa Wilding is a New York based singer-songwriter. She was most recently featured as one of "music's hippest chicks" in the New York Post alongside Juliette Lewis, Florence and the Machine, and Au Revoir Simone, amongst others. Her self-titled EP of eight original songs was mixed by Television’s Fred Smith and features Tim Foljahn, who has collaborated with Cat Power, Thurston Moore, and the late Townes Van Zandt - available now on iTunes.

From 2006-2008, Alexa played synths and sang in Int'l Shades, with ex-Sonic Youth/Pussy Galore drummer, Bob Bert and No Wave’s Mark C (Live Skull). The Shades opened for independent music heavyweights Kid Congo, Psychic TV's Genesis P-Orridge and Mudhoney.

As a solo artist, Alexa has gained critical acclaim for her “wintry, poetic songs that have a ghostly air to them” (Time Out New York). "In a pixie and naïf soaked sonic world, you could be forgiven for thinking there’s little room left for another chanteuse. But ALEXA WILDING combines the haunting qualities of The Child Ballads with a Leonard Cohenian sense of wordplay and there’s some rock ‘n’ roll in there too—for a while Wilding played with former Sonic Youth drummer Bob Bert in Int’l Shades. Bottom Line: Sometimes you need just a little dainty comfort to stop the bleeding in your ears." (NEW YORK PRESS)
