Scratch Lyrics

I was once sittin' on top of the world
I really had things in my hand
But somethin' went wrong and I'm not sure, what?
And now I'm sittin' here at home alonePeople they want to give you free advice
Well that's somethin' that I always try
But you get what you pay for that's what I say
And now I'm payin' and payin' and payin'I lost everything I had
I'm startin' over from scratch
I lost everything I had
I'm startin' over from scratchEverything I wanted cookin' on the stove
Everything I needed right in the home
I had the best thing you can have
You can have it, you can have it nowI lost everything I had
I'm startin' over from scratch
I lost everything I had
I'm startin' over from scratch
It's just a factWiped that smile off my face
Put me down in my proper place

But the world just keeps on spinnin' around
And I'm still hangin' around in this worldI lost everything I had
I'm startin' over from scratch
I lost everything I had
I'm startin' over from scratch
