Second Guessing Lyrics

Well, second guessin', first impressions
There you go again
You're rushing off in all directions
Since I don't know whenAll day long you've been building walls
You've been building walls all day
Putting ceilings on your feelings
When they should be flying awayWhen everything you're looking for
You'll know when it's real
You'll know when you find it
By the way, the way, just the way it makes you feel, babyWell, writing down your deepest emotion
With your pen in hand
The piece of paper flew out of the window
You watched it try to landYou felt so bad as it flew out of sight
A part of your heart alone in the night
But all of a sudden you didn't mind it
When you pictured the lonely stranger that would finally find itEverything that you're looking for
You'll know when it's real
You'll know when you find it

By the way, the way, the way it makes you feel it, yeah babyWhen everything you're looking for
You'll know when it's real
You'll know when you've found it
By the way it makes you feel, oh babyEverything you're looking for
You'll know when it's real, yeah yeah yeah
You'll know when you've finally found it
By the way, the way it makes you feel, baby
The way that it makes you feel inside, babyYeah e yeah, yeah e yeah, ooh
Baby oh yeah

Oakley Hall started as a project centered around guitarist/vocalist Patrick Sullivan (formerly known as Papa Crazy or PCRZ of Oneida). The lineup changed significantly after the recording of the first full-length album, but has since stabilized with Sullivan on guitar, vocals, and Hammond, Rachel Cox on guitar and vocals, drummer Greg Anderson, bass/supporting vocals from Jesse Barnes, Claudia Mogel on fiddle and backup vocals, and Fred Wallace on lap steel, banjo, and guitar.
