Secret Place Lyrics

I was young then
But I remember when
When I'd need to hide awayI had a secret place I'd go
Where I could just be on my own
And I didn't feel afraidBut even though I'm older now and things have changed
When I'm in your arms I'm right back there again[Chorus:]
You're the place that I can run to
When I need somewhere to hide
You're my compass and my lifeline
All wrapped into one
You're where I feel safe
You're my secret place
You're my secret placeWhen no one understands
And I feel like half a man
And I can't make it through the dayWhen nothing's makiing sense
And my soul is bruised and bent
And I've lost all of my faithYou always seem to find a way to get me through
All I know is I'm a better man with you[Chorus:]

You're the place that I can run to
(You'rer where I belong)
When I need somewhere to hide
(The road that takes me home)
You're my compass and my lifeline
All wrapped into one
You're where I feel safe
You're my secret place
You're my secret placeYou're my only shelter from the rain
You're the silver lining to my grey
And when the storm is oover
You're the sunlight onn my face
You're the dream I try to chase[Chorus:]
You're the place that I can run to
(You'rer where I belong)
When I need somewhere to hide
(The road that takes me home)
You're my compass and my lifeline
All wrapped into one
You're where I feel safe
You're my secret place
You're my secret place
