Seeds Lyrics

Night, field of stars above us
You pick one, we frame it with
Our fingers intertwined
Seeds of every generation
Between our hands
And the promise to teach you
The little I have learned so far
Child, what will you live to do?
What have I left for you?
What will we leave behind?
You, learning as you’re growing
Not yet knowing the world isn’t always
Quite as beautiful as it is now
Child, what will you live to do?
What have I left for you?
What will we leave behind?
Child, what will you live to do?
What have I made for you?

What will we leave behind?
Night, field of stars above us
I pick one and name it for you
And all who are to come

By assimilating, and evolving the music of Brazil's bossa nova originators, Canadian duo Bet.e & Stef has soared from performing in clubs and bistros in Montréal to performing in Japan within a three-year span. The very character of Bet.e & Stef's new album "Day By Day" is its intimacy and timelessness. Despite being complex and witty overall, its music feels natural and universal. Primarily produced by Bet.e & Stef with producer/arranger Michel Pépin, who has worked with Rufus Wainwright, and Emmy Lou Harris, it features gentle and reserved guitar by Stef who has a smooth precise voice; Bet.
