Sentimental Ol' You Lyrics

Who sends me flowers for no reason at all?
Who saves each card I've ever sent?
Who remembers everything about the day we met?
If you're wonderin' who, it's sentimental ol' youSentimental ol' you, I love you just the way you are
Sentimental ol' you, I need you like the night time needs the stars
You're the kind of dreamer that dreams big enough for two
An' whatever you do that way, don't change sentimental ol' youWho cries at the movies, thinkin' I don't see?
An' who laughs the loudest at the old cartoons?
Who complains that Christmas-time comes way too soon?
If you're wonderin' who, it's sentimental old youSentimental ol' you, I love you just the way you are
Sentimental ol' you, I need you like the night time needs the stars
You're the kind of dreamer that dreams big enough for two
An' whatever you do that way, don't change sentimental ol' you

Early life Childhood & teen years
Charlotte Denise McClain was born in Memphis, Tennessee in 1956. Originally named Charlotte, "Charly" was given her masculine moniker by neighborhood friends in Memphis, and she also used it when she started playing hotel lounges. When Epic Records decided it sounded catchier than Charlotte, it became a permanent professional banner. [1] McClain's father had tuberculosis when she was eight, and, since she was under age for visitation rights at the hospital, she had to communicate with him through a tape recorder. [2]
