Set 'em Up, Joe Lyrics

They got a vintage Victrola 1951
Full of my favorite records that I grew up on
They got ole Hank and Lefty and there's B24
Set 'em up Joe and play Walking The Floor
Set 'em up Joe and play Walking The FloorI'm gonna spend the night like every night before
Playin' E.T. and I'll play'im some more
I've gotta have a shot of them old troubadours
Set 'em up Joe and play Walking The Floor
Set 'em up Joe and play Walking The FloorAll my neon neighbors they like what I play
'Cause they've heard it every night since you've walked away
Every day they replace old B24
'Cause every night I run a needle through Walking The Floor
Every night I run a needle through Walking The FloorI'm gonna spend the night like every night before
Playin' E.T. and I'll play'im some more
I've gotta have a shot of them old troubadours
Set 'em up Joe and play Walking The Floor
Set 'em up Joe and play Walking The Floor

Vern Gosdin (August 5, 1934 – April 28, 2009) was a traditional country singer with a strong country voice. Some of his best material were not #1 hits.
As country music swung back toward traditional styles in the 1980s, an inheritor of the soulful honky tonk style of Lefty Frizzell and Merle Haggard rose to the top of the business and notched hit after barroom hit. Sometimes he was known simply as "the Voice." Born in Woodland, AL, Vern Gosdin idolized the Louvin Brothers and the Blue Sky Boys as a young man and sang in a gospel quartet called the Gosdin Brothers.
